Hi, I made this site to help girls and guys. We have never been fond of when people put their selves down constantly. Just walking down the street you can hear people downing on how they look, feel or act. It doesn't help that magazines, T.V. and all those cosmetics out there instill that idea that you have to look a certain way to be handsome or beautiful. If you look in a teen magazine, all the girls in there are a size 4. Well, the clothing they model come in sizes 2-18, so why do they only model one size? On T.V. all actors and actresses have seen a wardrobe designer and hair and make-up artists before going on set, then after that the footage is all edited. Now do you honestly think these people should be our idols? Sure, maybe on their own time they look normal, but what about out in public? Then there are the cosmetics. Pills that make you skinnier, pills that make you fatter, make-up that gets rid of wrinkles, cover up to get rid of the smallest blemish. There is a never ending supply of chemicals in those products and in the end it will kill your skin. And in the end, after looking at your self every morning after prepping your self for school/work ect.Thinking something along the lines of "I did my hair wrong!" or "My make-up is a total MESS!!" (admit it we've all been there) your going to crush you're self esteem. Not to mention, do you think it's all worth it? Putting yourself down is a hard habit to break, after a while you see yourself different in the mirror, you spend hours trying to make yourself look different, but in the end you without makeup, or pills, or designer clothing, is who you are. You are what you do, how you act, but you are NOT what you wear and look like. All that is just an image, it isn't how people see you, the right people see whats under the skin, not what the skin looks like.
My friend and I have the same problem's all girls do, we are unsure of ourselves, not confident sometimes, but this blog will help us and you overcome that, and realize that you dont need absolutely perfect skin or straight hair to be beautiful, you just need to be yourself, and be true to who you really are.
